The pond is where the magic happens! Gear up for an exhilarating afternoon with water activities that cater to everyone. Paddle peacefully in a canoe or kayak, basking in the stunning views, or let the little ones splash in shallow areas. Our beach is the perfect spot for sandcastle building, enjoying dance parties, and soaking up the warm summer sun.

Evening: Campfire and S’mores

As night falls, gather around the campfire for an evening filled with warmth and storytelling under the starlit sky. Roasting marshmallows and making s’mores is the beginning of creating memorable moments together. (See our favorite s’more recipes here!)

Day 2: Adventure and Activities

Morning: Hiking Trails

Start your morning refreshed and ready to explore the natural beauty surrounding us. After a nourishing breakfast, set off on one of our family-friendly hiking trails.

These paths are carefully chosen to ensure they’re accessible for all ages, offering you the chance to immerse yourself in nature with stunning views that take your breath away and opportunities to spot local wildlife. (Discover our top kid-friendly hiking trail recommendations around the area here.)

Afternoon: Recreational Fun

In the afternoon, the campground transforms into a playground of fun and recreation.

Whether aiming for a hole-in-one in mini-golf, making a splash in the swimming pool, or getting involved in our organized family games, laughter and joy are guaranteed.

Dive into kickball, softball, or partake in our famed Parents Vs. Kids capture the flag game – an event that brings out the competitive spirit in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Evening: BBQ and Outdoor Entertainment

As the sun sets, our nightly entertainment comes alive, offering something special for everyone. But first, gather up your crew for a BBQ dinner at your site.

Grill your favorite meals like hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixings while you prepare to join other families for the weekend’s exciting entertainment feature like karaoke or a family comedian!

For those who prefer indoor fun, our rec hall is a haven of entertainment, stretching 155 feet long and 50 feet wide, packed with arcade games, pool tables, and ping pong. It’s the perfect spot to wind down after a day of adventure and exploration.

Day 3: Leisure and Local Exploration

Morning: Fishing or Bird Watching

Morning begins with the gentle lure of fishing by the Pond, a peaceful endeavor that promises both relaxation and the thrill of a potential catch.

Hint- be sure to get your Maine Fishing License before you arrive, as they are required. You can find them here

Alternatively, immerse yourself in the beauty of our local avian friends with a serene bird-watching walk. This is an opportunity to quietly observe and appreciate the diverse species that call our area home – a perfect start to a day filled with nature’s wonders.

Afternoon: Explore Papoose Pond

As the day unfolds, set off to explore the heart of Papoose Pond.

Our playground areas ensure that fun is never far from your doorstep.

Here, amidst the laughter of children and the friendly competition of families, you’ll find a variety of activities to engage in. Challenge your family to a game of horseshoes, ping pong, or shuffleboard, creating memories in the spirit of playful rivalry and teamwork.

For those looking to make a splash, our 30′ x 60′ heated pool awaits, a haven for swimmers of all ages. With two shallow ends perfect for younger guests and a 6′ deep center for the more adventurous, it’s an ideal setting for family fun under the sun.

Please remember, while the pool invites endless enjoyment, safety is paramount, and children under 14 require adult supervision as there is no lifeguard on duty.

Evening: antique carousel and ice cream

As evening arrives, step into a world of whimsy with our antique carousel, a 1916 Herschell Little Beauty that, though it no longer travels, continues to spin tales of enchantment an hour each day during the summer. Remember, closed-toe shoes are a must to ensure everyone’s safety on this delightful ride.

Cap off your day with a visit to our cafe, where scoops of ice cream await to sweeten up your last night at The Pond.

Day 4: Relaxation and Goodbyes

Morning: Lazy Breakfast and Departure

Day 4 at Papoose Pond is a gentle reminder to unwind and savor the final moments of your getaway.

Start with a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, allowing the morning to unfold at your pace.
